Standards on solid biofuels

To help the market for solid biofuels (and not only wood) a large suit of international standards have been developed on quality requirements for smaller boilers and how to measure all the different quality parameters. There is also a standard that defines all the terms that are used in the industry, so that we all can speak about the same things. These standards were first developed within Europe by CEN, but are now being lifted on a worldwide level by ISO.
